 Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) Dr. Kelly Brooks, CEO of Brooks Health Care, Inc. has been involved with providing nutritional support since his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1975. He helped set up nutritional support services in acute hospitals in 1976 and 1980. Dr. Brooks has been providing home nutritional support since 1984. Our Nutrition Support Team consists of Dietitians, Pharmacists, the referring Physician and IV Nurse. These professionals keep up with the changing information data base in clinical nutrition and apply progressive support and expertise in the care of their patients’ nutritional needs. Many of our staff have Specialty Clinical Nutrition Certification through the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN.) The Clinical Pharmacists provide consultations to assist physicians in the process of prescription formulations, then compound and monitor progress of therapy to attain specific patient individualized goals and outcomes from therapy. Brooks Health Care, Inc. utilizes appropriate infusion devices (stationary and ambulatory pumps) for the safe controlled infusion of parenteral and enteral nutrition. Brooks Health Care also provides all ancillary supplies necessary for the care of the infusion site (IV line). A clinical needs assessment and qualification for reimbursement under various payors including Medicare Part B&D, Medi-Cal, and private insurances are accomplished by our skillful staff. Insurance authorization and billing are also included in this service. |
